Home Groups
16 Aug 2018 • General news
We believe that small groups are really important, they enable people to get to know a smaller group of people better and create an environment for questions, discussions, sharing and support.
Home groups at St Mary's are small groups of 6-10 people who meet in someone's home usually once a fortnight. One person will host and provide refreshments and another person will usually lead the discussion.
The groups may follow a booklet of suggested questions and the booklet we are thinking of using from September is on the book of James.
Some people may feel they know a lot about a subject but most of us don't and its fine not to say much and no questions are silly!
Home groups are a good opportunity to talk about our Christian faith, to listen to God, to learn from others and share our insights, and to pray together, and have fun!
I am hoping that in each group there will be a mix of people who attend different Sunday/Wednesday services and it would be good to have some people from the recent Living Faith course in each group.
If you don't regularly attend St Mary's or indeed any church you will be very welcome to join one of our groups.
The groups will be run on the following days and times:
Monday afternoon 2pm
Monday evening 7.30pm
Tuesday afternoon 2.30pm
Thursday evening 7.30pm
If you would like more information or wish to join one of the groups please contact: Lucy on lucy.toyn@gmail.com or speak to Lesley on 01889562915
