September 1st

Lord Jesus, we ask you to be with the school children and staff as they begin this new school year. Allow them to experience Your presence in the many blessings You put before them. Open their eyes to the new challenges and exciting opportunities that this new school year brings. Open their heart and mind to new friends and new teachers.

September 8th

O Lord, we give thanks for the success of churches across the Area as they complete the questionnaire to claim their ECO church award. Help us all to care for our environment and not waste the generous resources you have given us.

September 15th

Oh Lord, we thank you for the hard work which has been needed to refresh the Heath Mission church. We pray that the building will be used by the community on a regular basis. The children from St Mary’s School will be able to experience attending services in a church. We ask that people will attend the services held there and that their faith grows as a result of mixing with other Christians.

September 22nd

Oh Lord, you mark the journey of life with change. Once again we witness your creation moving from one season to the other. Change is your instrument of growth that brings us to a deeper relationship with you. May your Word be the lantern that guides the roads of change in our lives.

September 29th

Oh Lord, we give thanks for all who work on land and sea to provide our daily food. We pray for farmers in all parts of the world who have planted the seed and tended the crops and the fruit of whose labours we enjoy. Grant that they may receive a fair return for their labour and hope for the future with a stable climate.
